Anima - Coming Soon

We're pleased to announce that we will soon be moving to a new online consultation system with many more features than e-consult. We're hoping this will improve the way you access your GP practice whenever you need to do so. The new system will replace e-consult at the Alchester Medical Group surgeries.

What are the benefits?

Anima is designed to help patients get the right care as quickly and safely as possible.

Using your smartphone, tablet, or computer connected to the internet you will be able to submit requests directly to our clinical team. Anima will ask you a series of questions tailored to your medical or administration need. The team will then review your request and respond via Anima to offer the most appropriate solution. This could include written advice and signposting, the prescribing of medication, or the offer of an appointment at an appropriate time.

• You can provide all the information that the practice requires to help you, without waiting on the phone.
• You will be asked questions based on your concerns but without the medical jargon.
• You will have the most appropriate and qualified clinician respond to your request, meaning you get the best help at the best time.
• You will be able to log onto the dashboard to see the outcomes of your past requests.

In preparation for the launch, we ask that you create an Anima account.

We will be encouraging you to use Anima as a preferred way of contacting the surgery, so if possible, please create your account in time for our launch in the near future.

If you should need them, here are some further notes on how to register.

The Anima homepage will ask you to create an account.

If you already use the NHS app it's easy to use the same login to register into Anima - or, if you don't have an NHS login, you can choose to use your email address and follow the instructions to register for Anima.

If there isn't already an Anima account linked to your email address, you will be asked to create a password. Before you can go further, you will need to verify your email address. Please go to your email provider and follow the instructions. If you haven't received the email, check your junk mail folder in case it has been diverted there.

The next screen will ask you to enter your personal details.

If you don't know your NHS number, you can leave this box empty. However, your account will be pending, awaiting verification by Alchester staff. If possible, please create the account including your NHS number.

You only need to register for an account once.

Once you have created your account, you are also able to create proxy accounts (meaning, dependants such as children) from your account. These will need verification from the surgery before they are able to be used.
