Autumn 2024 Vaccinations - flu and COVID-19
We’re currently planning for our annual flu vaccinations clinics, which this year will again be offered alongside COVID-19 booster jabs to all eligible patients.
You will receive an invite from us if you fall into any of the following categories:
- are aged 65 or over
- have certain long-term health conditions
- are pregnant
- live in a care home
- are the main carer for an older or disabled person, or receive a carer's allowance
- live with someone who has a weakened immune system
All our vaccination clinics will be at Langford Medical Practice on varying week days through October and into November.
This time those people who are eligible will be invited via an email - if we have an email address on record. If you do not receive an email but think that you should have done then please check your spam or junk folder carefully as sometimes invitations may be routed there by the systems of some email providers. If we do not have an email address for you then you will get a text message invitation to book for your jabs. For any patients without an email address or mobile phone number there will be an invitation letter sent by post.
Appointments can be booked simply by using your Patient Access app or the NHS app (see image below). If you cannot use this method then you will need to contact the surgery about making a booking. Please only call about this during weekday afternoons and after 3pm when lines are less busy.
Please do not book an appointment for these vaccinations with us unless you receive an invite. We will only be able to give the vaccinations to those who have been specifically invited to have them and who have booked their vaccination day and time before coming along to our vaccination clinics
