Community Midwives
Midwives are attached to the practice and they co-ordinate all antenatal and postnatal care. They are available for advice on 01869 243763
Community Nurses
A team of district nurses provide a specialist nursing service to individuals who are housebound. They assess the nursing needs of patients, advise about care and convalescence after discharge from hospital, and give advice and support to carers. Referrals can be made via the surgery or direct on 01865 903750
Health Visitors
The Alchester Health Visiting Team is based at the Ambrosden Surgery. They specialise in child, family and community health, including health promotion and health education. They work with the rest of the primary health care team to help you to lead as healthy a lifestyle as possible and reduce the risk of illness or premature death from preventable causes. They work with families with children under the age of 5 years.
